About Us Who we are and what we do... Our Process * Quote: The first step in the process is to get a quote. If you would like, we can come to your job site and look at the area, talk about your vision and take accurate measurements. Or, you can simply provide us with a drawing of your desired countertops along with the measurements. The quote will include both labor and materials for completing the installation of your new countertops. * Material: The second step is coordinating the required logistics for your job. We will need 1 week to prepare for your job. This allows us the time to make sure everything required to complete the job is in our possession. The decisions we will need from you will include: countertop material, backsplash material, edge/profile selection, sink, faucet and cook-top selections and any other "special" touches that you may want. * Schedule/Deposit: Once these decisions have been made, we are ready to schedule your job and order all materials. A tentative date to template and install the job will be scheduled. These dates are variable based on the job schedule. As we move closer we will be in touch with you periodically to keep you apprised of our needs. We will also required a 50% deposit for the work at this time. * Template: Once the cabinets are set, or old countertops are removed, we are ready to create templates and begin the job. When we arrive to template, we welcome your involvement to insure proper notations are made of your vision (radius corners, placement of seams, etc.). We do have limitations and this time will allow both parties to clearly understand the desired finished product. If they are not already in our possession, ALL fixtures need to be on the job site at this time, to prevent any delays in fabrication. * Layout: We will return to our shop with the templates, sinks, faucets and any other fixtures that will affect the countertops. Before any material is cut, the templates are laid out on the slabs to determine where we will make our cuts. Again, we welcome you to be a part of this process as you will be looking at our work for years to come, and your satisfaction is our goal. * Fabrication: Once we begin cutting, it will take 2-3 weeks for us to return with your new countertops. The work required to turn your slabs into beautiful new countertops is very labor intensive. Great care is taken within our facility to ensure the highest quality of product. * Installation: When your countertops are complete and ready to be installed, our team of professional installers will bring them to your door. You do have to be home for the installation process. Depending on the size of your job, this will take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days. You should be prepared to be without countertops and sinks during this time. * Care & Maintenance: Upon completion of the install, any questions you may have regarding the care and maintenance of the countertop can be addressed. (You can also refer to our Care and Maintenance Pages.) We are here to answer any questions to aid you in the care of your countertop for years to come. * Warranty: We offer a one year warranty on your countertops relative to workmanship. ------------------------------- Our Service Area We service all of Maine including the following Cities and Counties: Auburn (Androscoggin); Augusta (Kennebec); Bangor (Penobscot); Bath (Sagadahoc); Belfast (Waldo); Biddeford (York); Brewer (Penobscot); Calais (Washington); Caribou (Aroostook); Eastport (Washington); Ellsworth (Hancock); Gardiner (Kennebec); Hallowell (Kennebec); Lewiston (Androscoggin); Old Town (Penobscot); Portland (Cumberland); Presque Isle (Aroostook); Rockland (Knox); Saco (York); South Portland (Cumberland) Waterville (Kennebec); Westbrook (Cumberland)
